Have a great time on your journey of collaboration learning!

In the process of group collaboration, have you ever encountered such a situation: as soon as students encounter group tasks, they write their own. And the real collaboration only stays in a few names on PPT. 😵 Have you ever designed a group task with high expectations, but ended up with an awkward, silence, or chaotic ending. 😔💤     If you have also encountered these problems, you can take a look at this blog. In this week's exploration, I explored Notion and Stormboard to see if they could help students effectively interact, create and reflect in the task 👀. I want to see if they can really support students' collaborative learning 👀. If you also want to know the results, please explore with me. 👇 1.Notion ( https://www.notion.com/ )      In Notion, several students can share the page to edit the same content at the same time, and their avatars or initials will be displayed on the cursor. So that students can complete the writing task togeth...

Hi everyone, welcome to ICT Language Lab!😝 Language learning is a long-term process, and class time is not enough. As teachers, we should make good use of after-class time to help students learn with autonomy. So how can teachers get students to take responsibility for their own learning?😵 Today I’m going to introduce three English learning websites that help students learn language outside class. They  are TubeQuizard, ELLLO (English Listening Lesson Library Online), and Simple English Videos. 1. Introduction Tube Quizard ( http://tubequizard.com/ ) TubeQuizard is an online quiz website📑that uses YouTube videos to help people learn English. It turns real video content into quizzes, so learners do tasks while watching the video. After you enter the site, you can see “Quiz collection”. You click it, then you will see quizzes, which are grouped by English level A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. There are also different topics you can choose such as news, music, and business and so on. Each...

Teaching Languages Through Game

Our group chose to use Kahoot( https://create.kahoot.it/ ) and Educaplay( https://www.educaplay.com/ )to design games to understand the content of the article and word matching games. Next, we will analyse these two games in detail and answer the three questions assigned by the teacher last week. The first question is Why is this particular game relevant to language learning? What approaches to language learning or research underpin the use of this technology (hint - motivation!)? The second question is How might you use it in the classroom to foster language learning? Think about who the learners might be. Think about the target readers of your blog (teachers not students!) - what do they need to know? The third question is What limitations can you see with the use of this game? Finally, our group will compare the differences between Kahoot and Educaplay. Kahoot          This game is very suitable for language learning, b...
