Week 2 blog

 The Difference Between two Blogs

  • Focus and Purpose
The first article focuses on the complex situations faced by teachers in the real classroom under the background of mixed student groups. It is emphasized that teachers should maintain the stability and inclusiveness of the learning environment in the current classroom by clarifying rules and discipline, building good classroom relationships and responding flexibly. The core focus of this blog is how to make the classroom run smoothly and reduce potential conflicts by establishing good relationships and improving sensitivity.
In contrast, the second blog focusses on teaching concepts and exploring the positive potential of generative AI in writing teaching. The reflection emphasizes that AI is not a substitute for writing, but promotes the development of students’ critical thinking, evaluation ability and creativity through carefully designed tasks. In this blog, the teaching purpose of teachers is not to control students’ learning behavior, but to cultivate students’ critical thinking and AI literacy through teaching design.
  • Style and Tone
The first blog is much more personal and narrative. The writer shares personal experiences, such as attending the session online, dealing with classroom issues, and reflecting on their own teaching. The tone is more friendly and conversational, as if the writer is speaking to colleagues. This makes the blog feel more realistic and relatable.
The second blog, however, is clear and concise. It mainly focuses on summarizing a professional webinar. The writer acts as a reviewer and gives a recommendation to other teachers so the tone is quite formal and calm. There is little personal feeling or detailed classroom experience in the blog. Instead, the writer highlights the main ideas, teaching messages, and useful examples from the webinar. Because of this, the blog reads like a professional reflective summary that aims to share information in a clear and efficient way.

  • Interaction
The first blog is easier to relate to than the second one. The first blog describes real classroom situations and shows how teachers and students interact with each other, especially during group work. These specific classroom scenes make it easier for teacher readers to connect with the experience. For example, there are many comments under this blog, while the second blog does not have any. Although I am not a teacher yet, when I read these classroom examples, I naturally imagine myself in the situation and think about how I would react if I were the teacher. This makes me feel a bit nervous, but it also makes me want to keep reading and look for possible solutions in the author’s reflections.
In contrast, the second blog is more information-focused and mainly aims to explain how teachers can guide students to use AI in a proper way.
